Encouraged by the success of the International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies (ICMAT) series held since 2001 and the impact it has created among the materials science and engineering research community both in the region and elsewhere, the Materials Research Society of Singapore (MRS-S) will be organizing the 11th edition of the conference series from 4th to 9th July 2021 in Singapore.
The first 10 conferences in this biennial ICMAT series attracted a total of more than 25,000 participants including 28 Nobel Laureates and hundreds of distinguished plenary & keynote speakers, in addition to thousands of invited speakers.
The upcoming conference, with an expected participation of 2,500 delegates, comprises of the International Conference on Mechanics for Global Challenges, 31 technical symposia, plenary and theme lectures, special activities, exhibition as well as keynote, invited, oral and poster presentations.
ICMAT 2021 is the premier scientific platform to present research to an interdisciplinary and international audience. It provides a window on the future of materials science and offers an opportunity for researchers—from students and postdocs, to Nobel Laureates—to share expertise, exchange technical information and network with colleagues.
We welcome you to join us at ICMAT 2021!
About Materials Research Society of Singapore
The Materials Research Society of Singapore (MRS-S) was formed in 1999 as a not-for-profit organisation to serve a rapidly emerging materials science community in Singapore. The Society is affiliated with the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS).
Since its inception the focus of MRS-S has been to promote materials science not only to researchers in Singapore, but also to publicise the niche capabilities of local researchers throughout Asia and further afield.
To this end, the Society’s major activity is the organisation of a biennial event – the International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies or ICMAT – that is held in June/July and attracts more than 2,500 delegates from all over the world.
